FIREBALL STEVEN (aka.Nic Steven Nilsson) Born: 1967 In 1979 i started my first band as 12 year old kid we did only gotten to do rehersal but man we had fun. We were called the Ytterbyrockarna. In late 80´s we carried on under namechange and new members as Hillbilly Nic and slowdown boppin cats and changed the name again to Boppin Nic and his slow boppin down cats a few sucessfull gigs were done here Later constelations the 4th rock´n roll/rockabilly band started with me again on lead vocal The Polisongs lasted for 2-3 years before name change to Uncle Nic and the Alternators between 1995 and 1999 2 ep´s vinyl came here and also appering on 2 various albums still has over 20 never realeased songs on tape. Maybe the future will see a realease. During 1998 i started the Fireball Steven and the Halebops since my second name was Steven and the name Nic was so much involved with Rock´n Roll i decided to call my self Fireball Steven. Together with the Halebops we played strictly Authentic rockabilly/Hillbillly ala 1955/56. We played all over Sweden and toured in Norway Finland Holland. 3 45 rpm ep´s and one 10 incher LP and 1 cd were done + 9 various cd After the Splitup with the Halebops i decided to go solo. I went to USA for a tour and did again some recordings at New Hope Recording studio in WV with my good buddy and picker Dave Moore. Last recording was done in 2002 when NBT realeased an ep with me Now we are talking late 2004 and new recordings together with 5 new Halebops recordings. My album Rockabilly Done Right showed up april 2005 16 tunes and 14 selfpenned songs were realeased. Only 2 covers tunes were done.Meantime i had starting to gettin busy playin solo backed by the Ramblers and other constellations but slowley forms a new band wich has backed me for the last 3 years now (read since 2005) We are slowing things down compares to the hectic life with the Halebops only doing circa12 gigs per year compares to 35 a year. The time seems never to be there for more dates. But when we get together prepare yourself for a real raw in your face party sound playing authentic rockabilly Rock and Roll from 55-58.
